The Commission on Audit’s (COA) International Audit and Relations Office (IARO) launched its own website to make the Commission’s various stakeholders see and understand its work in the international arena on 12 September 2018 at the SAADO Auditorium.

COA’s IARO integrates the coordination and supervision of the multi-faceted work involving international audit and relations. The IARO exercises control over the audit of international organizations where the COA is the External Auditor as well as coordinates the proper observance of the Commission’s commitments as member of the international audit community.

Currently, the COA is the External Auditor of United Nations organizations such as the World Health Organization, the Food and Agriculture Organization, the International Labour Organization and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Chairperson Michael G. Aguinaldo and Commissioner Roland C. Pondoc led the inaugural access to the website.

Commissioner Pondoc suggested maximizing the use of the website, noting that COA auditors are also known for their skills and excellence in the international audit community.

IARO Director Lito Q. Martin said that the launch is a milestone for the Commission to increase awareness on international audit activities of the Commission. “This is to strengthen the IARO’s relationship with its stakeholders by providing a repository of our audit reports of international organizations that we audit,” Director Martin said.

Director Lorna Cabochan of the Information Technology Office (ITO) presented a walkthrough of the IARO website which was developed by ITO’s Janika Vergara in collaboration with IARO staff. The IARO website may be accessed through: https://www.coa.gov.ph/iaro/ #
